Elnora A. Johnson, 91, of Scandia, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House. Elnora was born February 28, 1924, in Sackett, PA, the daughter of the late James Eric and Dorothy J. Anderson. A very active member of the Scandia community, Elnora was a member of the Scandia Covenant Church, where she served for several years on the Board of Deacons and the Covenant Women. She was also a member of the Scandia Ladies Auxiliary. Elnora was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing and crafts. She especially loved spending time with her family. Elnora is survived by her six children, Karen Albaugh, and husband, Jack, of Warren, Ronald Johnson, and wife, Sharon, of Scandia, Deborah Seastead, and husband, John, of Erie, Gayle English, and husband, Mark, of Warren, Gary Johnson, and wife, Susan, of Scandia, and Judy Whitmire, and husband, Jon, also of Scandia; one sister, Dora Wedlock, and husband, Richard, of Jamestown, NY; ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elnora was preceded in death on August 24, 1985, by her husband, Kenneth A. Johnson, whom she married November 16, 1946 in Scandia; and two siblings, James Anderson, and Donna Anderson. Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren on Sunday, February 21 from 2 to 5 p.m., and at the Scandia Covenant Church, 18 Peterson Road, Russell, on Monday, February 22, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there with, Rev. Jon Meyer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Scandia Cemetery.
