Obituary

Elizabeth A. McClain, 73, of Clarendon, PA, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at her residence. Elizabeth was born January 26, 1950, in Kane, PA, the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Louise Ross Gibson. She was a graduate of Kane High School. She worked in Kane at the Arcade Restaurant, Quality supermarket, as well as Shady Point and Texas Hot. She was also the rural mail carrier for many years out in Highland before moving to Clarendon, where she resided until her passing. She was employed at Warren State Hospital as a Psychiatric aide from which she retired. Elizabeth loved to care for others, especially after her retirement. She loved Lucille Ball and was a member of the Lucille Ball Theatre. She enjoyed watching the Steelers, loved her dog, Lucy, and enjoyed spending time with her neighbors, Carol and Randy. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Tina McClain Chamberlain and husband Dan of MD, and Jacob McClain of KS; grandchildren, Lindsay Beckman, Kayla McClain, Alec and Luke Chamberlain. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death on March 15, 2000, by her husband, Thomas E. McClain; and one sister. A graveside service will be held for Elizabeth on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10:00am, at Highland Cemetery, Highland, PA, with Reverend Jon Swart, Global Methodist minister, officiating.
