Elizabeth "Betty" W. Wilson, age 90, of Pleasant Township passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015, at Warren Manor. Betty was born March 16, 1924, in Warren, PA. She is the daughter of the late Leon and Theresa Dasen Schearer.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Warren County. She had been employed at the Blair Corporation, retiring after over 40 years of service. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Pleasant Township. Betty loved lending a helping hand in any way possible, to anyone in need. She was especially helpful in taking care of her brother until his passing.
She is survived by eight nieces and nephews, Sandy Samuelson, and husband, Jerry, of Warren, PA, Betsy Wildauer, and husband, Dick, of Erie, PA, David Dunkle, Carolyn, of AL, Fred Heymann, Habbi, of NJ, Rolland Schearer, Rosemary, of WI, Lee Schearer, Monique, of NC, Connie Honhart, of NC and Joel Schearer, and wife, Nora, of NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Schearer and Harold "Juddy" Schearer; and three sisters, Helen Heymann, Louise Coates and Margaret Dunkle.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 200 Pleasant Dr., Warren, PA. A funeral will be held there at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
