Elaine L Heald, 97 , of Warren, PA,  died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House.

Elaine was born in Jamestown, NY,  the daughter of the late Cyrus and Mabel Andersen Heald. She was a 1935 graduate of Warren High School, and a graduate of Vennard College in Chicago in 1947.Prior to her retirement in 1984, Elaine was employed by the United Refining Company as a secretary for 31 years.  She was also employed by Bell Telephone Company for 8 years prior to living in Chicago for a number of years.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, and had taught Sunday School for 50 years.
She was a member of the Warren Senior Center, a past Board Member of the Warren County Literacy Council, and a tutor there for many years.

Elaine worked as a volunteer for ten years at the Department of Human Services, Warren State Hospital.  She was also a member of the North Warren Home Extension Group, the Historical Society, the Dessert Club, AARP, and Genealogical Society.

She is survived by one sister, Phyllis Albaugh; eleven nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Heald, Lois Flood, and Grace Scalise; and two brothers, Raymond And Donald Heald.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. from Monday, June 30 from 12:00 noon to 1 p.m., at which time, a funeral will be held there, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, officiating.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Warren.
