Edwin L. Streich, 89, of Warren, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the Warren Manor.  Ed was born June 16, 1928 in Warren, PA. He is the son of the late Frederick and Bernice (Kinkead) Streich.

Ed was a 1946 graduate of Warren High School.  He served in the US Army from 1946 to 1948, and 1950 to 1951.  He was employed by Penelec for 40 years, from which he retired.  Ed was a member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ.  A charter member of the Brokenstraw Airport Flying Club, he maintained his fixed wing pilot's license for many years.  He was an avid fan of Nascar and local racing, and had enjoyed many years of travel in his motor home.

He is survived by six children, and five sons, Ed Streich, and wife, Susan, of Warren, Leroy Streich, and wife, Glenda, of Warren, Donald Streich, of Youngsville, David Streich of Warren, Larry Streich, of Warren, and Helen Gustafson, and husband, Mike, of Russell; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Katherine Johnson, of MI, and Margie Schumann, of Warren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Seither and Helen Streich.

A private service will be held at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc.
