Edward E. "Butch" Wingard, age 67, of Glade passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Warren General Hospital. Butch was born August 4, 1946, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Ferman J. Wingard and Helen Farnsworth Wingard Jennings.
Butch was employed by Betts Industries for 44 years, first as a truck driver, and later as a fork lift operator. Occasionally, Butch attended the Salvation Army Church. He enjoyed NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers, bowling and was an Elvis Presley fan. He enjoyed his family, and was always joking and making people laugh. Butch also enjoyed many friends at the Peppermill.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Debbie Bauer; one son, Edward E. Wingard, Jr., and wife, Tracey, LaPlace, LA; one daughter, Dawn R. Wingard, Youngsville, PA; two step-daughters, Tracy L. Bailey, and husband, Ron, Clarendon, PA and Hollie M. Constable, and companion, Marc Lytle, Warren, PA; one sister, Nancy Stanko, and husband, Jerry, Warren, PA; He also has seven grandchildren, Keeler Kay, Samantha Wingard, Austin Constable, Alix Lytle, Isaiah Wingard, Taylor Bailey and Danica Wingard; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by two sisters, Sandra Burton and Shirley Wingard; his step-father, Marshall Jennings; and his niece, Tammy Burton.
Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Tuesday, December 31, at 11 a.m., Major Ronald Starnes, Chaplain, Salvation Army, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Warren, PA.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Salvation Army Of Warren, 311 Beech Street, Warren, PA 16365.
