Edward E. "Pete" Peterson, 89, of Warren, PA, passed away on October 11, 2022, at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Pete was born on October 1, 1933, in Nansen, PA, the son of the late Oscar Peterson and Mary Weaver Peterson. He was a 1953 graduate of Kane High School and attended Penn State Police Academy. He was in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division. Pete was a former Warren Borough Policeman and was the former owner of Morrells Bar and Restaurant. Pete was a former member of the I.O.O.F. and a member of the American Legion and the Eagles Club. He was on the board of Directors and served as president of Oakland Cemetery. He participated in local country bands singing. He also enjoyed watching history and documentaries and old westerns. Pete loved to hunt and also loved horses and dogs, especially his German Shepard, Wolf. Pete is survived by his wife, Constance "Connie" L. McManigle Peterson, whom he married on December 26, 1953; daughter Michelle Meadows of Warren; two grandchildren, Jessica Meadows Norris and Alyson Meadows Freeman and husband Nickolas; brother Thomas Peterson and wife Florence of Warren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Pete is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Frazier, and an infant sister; brother Gerald Peterson; and nephew Steven Jerman. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna Ave. E. Warren, PA, on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and on Monday, October 17, 2022, one hour prior to an 11:00 am funeral service, with The Reverend Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, First Lutheran Church of Warren, officiating.
