Edna Mary Brown, 78, of Conewango Avenue, Warren, Pa., passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at the Warren Manor.
Edna was born February 26, 1934, in Somerville, MA, West Middlesex County, the daughter of the late William Edward Leatham I, and Geneva Wolfenden Leatham. She was a graduate of Somerville High School and later employed as a Medical Records Supervisor at the Massachusetts General Hospital, from which she retired. Edna was a member of the Good News Community Church, in Warren; was a prayer warrior and loved the Lord. She enjoyed reading, singing, and playing the piano. She was a very compassionate woman who dearly loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Brown of Warren, whom she married at the Assembly of God in MA on February 14, 1986; two daughters, Robin Waters, and husband, Phillip, Alabaster, AL, and Joann Pierce, Derry, NH; two sons, Wayne Pierce, Warren, Pa., and David Pierce and his wife, Christine, Grants Pass, OR; two stepsons, Jonathan Brown, Savannah, GA and Joe Brown Jr, Grants Pass, OR; a half sister, Audrey Eckman, Bridgewater, MA; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elsie May Woodbury, and two brothers, William Leatham II, and Edward Leatham.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave., E., Warren, on Monday, November 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Tuesday, November 20, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. James Witherington, pastor, Good News Community Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Care Center, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA 16365 or Hospice of Warren County 2 Crescent Park, Warren.
