Obituary

Earl "the Squirrel" Henry Campbell, 82, formerly of Warren, PA, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at Rouse Home, of Youngsville, PA.  Earl was born January 8, 1935, in Warren, PA, and was raised by his grandparents, Sally and Wallace Campbell.

Earl was a graduate of Warren High School.  He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955, where he received the National Defense Service Medal; United Nations Medal; and the Korean Service Ribbon.  After being honorably discharged, he returned to Warren and worked for Lorangers as the payroll manager, from which he retired nearly 40 years later.

Always remaining active in the local community, Earl was a former member of the Scandia Covenant Church and the Struthers Hose Company.  He was also a lifetime member of the Legion, the Vets Club, and the Blueberry Golf Course.  In his later years, Earl remained involved with the Meals on Wheels program and had served as a board member for the Senior Center.

An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, Earl could always be found watching the Pirates and Steelers.  Despite Earl's busy social schedule, his family was the most important thing in his life.  He truly valued family time and watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by one daughter, Missy Rogers, and husband, Mike, of Warren, and one son, Mike Campbell, also of Warren;  two brothers, Richard Campbell, and wife, Martha, of Warren, and William Campbell, of Jamestown, NY; four grandchildren, Adam Dorsey, Derek Reagle, Michaela Lind, and Austin Sweeney.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death on February 2, 2001, his wife, Judith J. Campbell, whom he married on August 12, 1961, at the First Lutheran Church of Warren; and his grandparents, Sally and Wallace Campbell.
