IN LOVING MEMORY OF
E. Deane
Passmore
June 19, 1936 – December 20, 2022
On December 20, 2022, after a long battle with time, E. Deane Passmore went to cut firewood with John Wayne. Deane was still madly in love with Carol, his wife of 63 years. They met at Grove City College where Deane was the center on the football team. He received his bachelor's degree from Grove City, advanced degrees from NYU and his Education Specialist degree at the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA. Deane is survived by his wife; three children- Ted (Janet), Holly Krokowski (Mike), and Dan (Heather); sister Judy McNeal (Dick) and his brother Lincoln Passmore (Susie); grandchildren Kaylin Stevenson (Alex), Jacoby, Micah, and Isaiah Foster; two great grandchildren, Dean Foster and Jude Stevenson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Nancy Passmore and daughter Wendy. He loved cutting firewood, Cabela's magazines, hunting, golf (until his blood pressure couldn't handle it anymore), a steak dinner and a big Manhattan. Deane could give you directions to anywhere by only using restaurants. He was a Zem Zem Hornet, Football coach, Softball Coach, Golf Coach, Volunteer Fireman, Basketball referee, and a football umpire for 33 years. Deane started his career at Beaty as a history teacher and guidance counselor, then spent the bulk of his teaching career as the guidance counselor at the Warren County Vo-Tech. Deane had a unique ability to know when someone needed a "kick in the pants" or genuine help. He had a huge heart but was willing to do both. He had a great love for his family and animals, especially his labs who lived their best life with Deane as their human. He lived life to the fullest and would want it to continue with A Celebration of Life that will be held and announced after the holidays. He wanted any donations to go to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children. https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/give/119312/#!/donation/checkout Those wishing to send online condolences may do so by visiting www.petersonblickfuneralhome.com
