E. Marie Passaro, 97, of Warren, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House of Warren, PA.  Marie was born October 17, 1917, in Forest County. She is the daughter of the late Darius Siggins and Florence McKee Whitten.

Marie was a 1937 graduate of Warren High School.  She had been the Cafeteria Manager for Warren Area High School for many years until retiring in the mid 1980s.  Along with her husband, Joseph, she was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.  Marie was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she had taught Sunday school, and was involved with the Ladies Breakfast Group and the 49'ers Club.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph V. Passaro, whom she married in 1986; one daughter, E. Jean Ferry, and husband, William, of Russell, PA; and one son, James W. Heald, and wife, Patricia, of Apex, NC.  She also has seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1981 by her first husband, Donald B. Heald; and two siblings, Lawrence "Red' Whitten and Mildred "Midge" Howe.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Wednesday, February 25, from 5 to 7. The funeral will be held there on Thursday, February 26, at 11 a.m. with Rev. J. Maier, pastor, First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
