Doris Margaret Sainato, 87, of Clarendon, and formerly of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 25, at her home following an extended illness.  She was born January 23, 1929, in Duquesne, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Edward and Hazel Kirtz.  She was a graduate of Munhall High School.

Doris was an avid birdwatcher, enjoyed archery, flower gardening, embroidery, cooking delicious feasts for family gatherings and loved to read.

She is survived by her twin sister, Dorothy Welsh, of Munhall; 3 sons, Wyatt (Rose) Sainato, of West Mifflin, Gary (Sandy) Sainato, of Baldwin, and Kevin Marshall, of West Mifflin; 2 daughters, Cyndi (Jim) Brawley, Clarendon, and Karen Gedman (Joe Fordyce) of White Oak.  She also has 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Sainato; 2 sisters, Virginia Johns and Nancy Young.

In accordance with Doris' wishes, there will not be a viewing, but friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service starting at 12 noon, on Saturday, October 8, at the Residence of Cyndi and Jim Brawley, 1342 Farnsworth Road, Clarendon, PA.
