Doris Jean Ritter Thomas, of Sheffield, PA, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at her residence. Doris was born July 30, 1947, in Pleasantville, PA, the daughter of the late Clyde and Marian (Williams) Ritter. She graduated from Pleasantville High School and graduated from John Hopkins Nursing School with an R.N. degree. Doris was employed as a school bus driver for Lewis Transportation for many years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Doris is survived by her son Donner VonRitter of Jamestown, NY; grandson, Teddy VonRitter; and brother, Clyde Ritter of Wyoming. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick G. Thomas whom she married on December 24, 1979; and daughter-in-law, Camrie DeSantis- VonRitter. There will be no services held for Doris.
