Doris M. Pesko, 90, formerly of Thomas Avenue, North Warren, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Kinzua Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Doris was born September 14, 1927, in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Thad and Myra Faye (Fagley) Wonderling.

She was employed for many years at the Warren State Hospital, from which she retired as a Food Service Supervisor.  Doris enjoyed camping, traveling, crafts, playing cards, gardening, her family, and especially her grandchildren.  She will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor and enjoyed practical jokes and gag gifts.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Peterson, of Warren, Gayle Massa, and her husband, Sam, of Warren, and Laurie Steber, and her husband, Mark, of Sugar Grove; five grandchildren, Wendy Lindsey, of Edinboro, PA, Chelsey Gray, and husband, Mike, of Russell, Mark Massa, and wife, Natalie, of Warren, Damian Steber, and spouse, Chad, of Jamestown, NY, Danielle Riel, and husband Joe, of Sugar Grove, and Amy Zimmerman, and husband, Shawn, of Kersey, PA; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death on February 2, 2018, by her husband, Francis P. Pesko, whom she married May 29, 1948; six siblings, Pauline Pratt, Mabel Davis, Virginia Davis, Helen Wonderling, Ronald Wonderling, and Thad Wonderling, Jr., and son-in-law, Jerry Peterson.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Wednesday, May 23, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Allan Jones, pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren.
