Doris D. Lyle, 87, formerly of Dartmouth Street, Warren PA, and a resident of the Watson Memorial Home, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Doris was born February 20, 1928, in Warren, the daughter of the late John B. and Catherine Rapp Dinsmoor. She attended Warren High School and later worked for the Walker's Dairy, the New Process Co., and Gaughn's Drug Store. She was a longtime member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, and the Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Doris enjoyed the pool at the YMCA for many years, Dance Club with her late husband, and especially enjoyed her family. She is survived by five children, Richard Lyle and wife TC, Warren, PA, Linda Ekey and husband Donald, Akeley, PA, James Lyle and wife Sandy, Scandia, PA, Catherine Bertch and husband Keith, Warren, PA, and John Lyle, Erie, PA; one brother, Charles Dinsmoor and wife Eileen, Lodi,CA; ten grandchildren, Paige Vail, CA, Chad Lyle, State College, PA, Brooke Lyle ( Mike Yucha), Edinboro, PA, Laura (Roy) Martin, Russell, PA, Paul (Brandi) Ekey, Elk River, MN, Darren (Amy) Ekey, Fayetteville, NC, Dana (Heidi) Ekey, Warren, PA, Jeremy Siliano, Warren, PA, Stephanie (Ryan) Lindell , Warren, PA, and Hillary(Tyler) Theuret, Pittsburgh, PA; eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on January 15, 1993 by her husband, Russell W. Lyle, whom she married on October 26, 1946; and by a brother, Donald Dinsmoor. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA 16365 on Thursday, January 28, from 6-8 pm, and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11:00 am on Friday, January 29, with Rev. Lawrence Scofield, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
