Donald T. Hopwood, 91, of Warren, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House. Don was born March 11, 1933, in Oil City, PA, the son of the late Robert and Eldeline (Schoonover) Hopwood. Don received his master's degree at Gannon University and St. Bonaventure University. He was employed as a schoolteacher for Warren County School District for 35 years from which he retired. Don was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed academics, reading, camping, and fishing. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Don is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Morrison Hopwood, whom he married on February 7, 1958; five children, Valarie Land of Houston, TX, Donald T. Hopwood II of Olean, NY, Lynn Raffaele and husband Perry of Warren, Mark Hopwood of Warren, and David Hopwood of Warren; two grandchildren, Adam Raffaele and Heather Raffaele; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by 7 of his 10 siblings. A private Mass of Christian burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
