Donald “Don” R. Hart, Sr., 87, of Irvine, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at UPMC Hamot. He was born on September 21, 1938, to the late Mary and Clarence A. Hart.

Don married his dear wife Lois on February 13, 1965.

Don honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #313 and the Youngsville American Legion Post #658. He worked at Sylvania as a Plastic Injection Molder. Don was of the Methodist faith.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially around his home. He would grow vegetables every year and liked to feed the birds. Most importantly, he loved his family and loved being a grandfather to his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 61 years, Don is survived by his children, Betsy (David) Hart and Edward “Ed” (Missy) Hart; his grandchildren, Kaula (Kenny) and her son, Bethany (James) and her three daughters, Erin (Zack), Cody (Emily), Jeremy, Eddy, and Kalven; his siblings, Dorothy Blackburn and Thomas Hart Sr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his son, Donald R. Hart Jr., his sister, Nellie, and his brothers, William, Robert, and Billy Jo.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave E, Warren, PA, 16365. Services for Don will be private.

Interment will take place at Warren County Memorial Park.
