Dolores H. Anderson, 88, formerly of 94 Crestview Blvd, Warren, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the Warren Manor. Dolores was born September 7, 1928, in Rogertown, PA. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Charles and Clara Cecelia (Lindquist) Casey.
Dolores was a lifelong area resident of Warren. While raising her own family, Dolores was a mom to many children in the Pleasant Township community, including Jim "Bim" Johnson, and Jim "Bert" Johnson, as well as many others. She was a skilled seamstress and upholsterer; an ever-handy woman, Dolores could remove scratches from cars or rebuild furniture, nearly effortlessly.
She is survived by two sons, Scott L. Anderson, and wife, Donna, of Warren, and Raymond L. Anderson, of Colorado; and three grandchildren, Michael Anderson, Shauna Sanders, and husband, Josh, and Michael Brown, and a niece, June Ann Reigard; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death on January 7, 2006, by her husband, Raymond "Bud" Anderson, whom she married May 9, 1947; daughter, Debbie Anderson; and sister, June Allen.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 200 Pleasant Dr., Warren, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Susan Scofield, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
