Dennis R. Peterson, 65, of Warren passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at his home.  Dennis was born December 16, 1948, in DuBois, PA, the son of the late Wilbert Harold and Carrie Dea Pifer Peterson.

He served in the Army from 1968 to 1970. Dennis worked in management at various grocery stores, including Acme, Quality Markets and Tops.  He had also worked construction on the side and was most recently employed by Ekey Florist.  He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, and a member of the American Legion and Eagles Club.

Dennis is survived by three children, Jaime Peterson, and wife, Michele, of Russell, Dana Peterson, and fiancée, Leigh, of Warren, PA, and Melissa Lauffenburger, and husband, Mark, also of Warren, PA; one brother, Rodney Peterson, of Warren, PA; and seven grandchildren, Taylor Peterson, Kristin Peterson, Hunter Peterson, Tyler Lauffenburger, Cheyene Lauffenburger, Savea Lauffenburger and Parker Lauffenburger; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his brother, Terry Peterson.

Friends will be received at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren, on Thursday, July 10 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at which time, a memorial service will be held there, with The Rev. David Blank, and The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, co-officiating.
