Dennis Lee Anthony, 70, of Cable Hollow Rd., Russell, died Saturday, August 9, 2014, at his residence following a brief illness.
Dennis was born August 27, 1943 in Warren, PA, the son of the late Alfred and Viola Cordner Anthony. A lifelong area resident, Dennis was a 1962 graduate of the Youngsville High School. He was employed with Ferellgas for thirty years, from which he retired, and then worked for the Taraska Bus Company for nine years. Dennis loved to sing was a member of the Conewango Clippers. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and NASCAR. Most importantly, he loved and enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. He will long be remembered for his kind, gentle, spirit and his ability to converse with anyone.
He is survived by two daughters, Annette Kelsey and her husband Arthur, of Youngsville, and Sherri Enos and her husband David of Lander, three sisters: Janet Shaw and husband Ted, of Warren, Delores Smith and husband Rodney, Sugar Grove, Diane Bennett and husband Alden, of Youngsville; four grandchildren, Tyler Enos and Katie Enos of Lander, PA, Geneva Boehme and husband Eric of Porter, TX; and Alivia Kelsey of Youngsville, PA; a sister in law, Barb Anthony; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on December 24, 2011 by his wife, Lois J. Stiles Anthony, whom he married on February 5, 1965; two brothers, Jim and Robert Anthony, and a sister in law, Annabell Anthony.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA, on Wednesday, August 13, from 10 am until 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held, with Rev. Allan Jones, pastor, Cable Hollow Community Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
