Della "Lucille" Jackson, 83, of Warren passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 6, 2014 at home.  Ms. Jackson was born February 17, 1931 in Valley Station, KY, the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary Belle Russell Johnson.

Lucille was raised Pentecostal, and was deeply religious and loved her Lord and Savior. In between professing her faith to the community, she loved playing the organ and singing.  Gardening and yard work were some of her favorite hobbies, and she had the most beautiful flowers.  She was a very thoughtful woman, she knew many people, and always remembered something about them.

She is survived by her nephews James Embrey and his wife Kim of Warren, Raymond Embrey of Russell, Charles Embrey and his wife Cheryl of Warren, Karen Sue Hohnke of Warren, and April Peterson and husband Richard of Petersburg, VA.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Carl Jackson, whom she married in Pennsylvania, and a dear friend and companion Oke Hagstrom.  In addition, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Herbert James, Thelbert Earl, Gilbert Dean, Samuel Benjamin, and a baby boy Theodore.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Monday, June 9, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain, Warren General Hospital and Rouse Home, officiating.

Burial will follow at Warren County Memorial Park.
