David L. Stevens, 81, of Althom, Pa. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Dave was born on March 10, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of the late Louther and Marjorie Connor Stevens. He was a 1961 graduate of North Allegheny High School. Dave worked in the Purchasing Department at US Steel and came to Warren to work at Struthers Wells. He later worked for Montgomery Ward, Turner TV and Appliance, Days Home Furnishings and Marsh Home Center in Titusville. Dave was a member of the Good News Community Church where he was the Vice Chairman and the chorus leader. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed all wildlife. He truly loved his family and his place on the river. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. Dave is survived by his wife Christine Kabelin Stevens, whom he married on December 29, 2001; his children, Deborah Moore and companion Wayne Carlson of Jamestown, NY, Tina M. Johnson and husband Jason of Warren, and stepson Matthew Johnson of Warren; his sister Beverly Ivey and husband Earl of Pittsburgh, and cousins Ann and Paul Spangler also of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded his death by his previous wife Donna Stevens. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Wednesday May 29, from 7 to 9 pm, and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 30 at 11am, with Rev. Larry Condron, pastor, Good News Community Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.
