David P. Jones, 68, of Warren, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at his home.  Mr. Jones was born July 7, 1947, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of the late Carl and Martha (Ackert) Jones.

David grew up in the Warren area, and served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1969. He was employed at the Carborundum Company in Falconer, NY as a machine operator and a weigh and mix operator, retiring due to illness.  David was a member of the Warren Moose, American Legion, and the Eagles Club.  He was also a member of the Salamanca VFW and the Jamestown War Vets.  David loved spending time with his little dog, Noah, and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Piratesf rom his deck in the summer, and the Minnesota Vikings throughout the winter months.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Deborah E. Jones;one son, Eric Jones, and wife, Grace, of Shanghai, China; two step-sons, Alan Rivera and John Rivera, both of Jamestown, NY; his grandson, Cameron Jones;granddaughter, Makayla Rivera; two nephews; one niece; three great-nephews; and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home,Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Wednesday, August 19, from 5 to 7 p.m.  In accordance with David's wishes, no further services will be observed.
