Dana L. Cathcart, 45, RD 2, Russell, died at 10:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at the home of his parents, Preston and Marjorie McCullough Cathcart, Russell.

Mr. Cathcart was born on Feb. 21, 1957, in Warren.  He was a 1975 graduate of Eisenhower High School and was the head designer and manager of the Garden of Eden Flower Shop, Jamestown, N.Y., for 10 years.  For the past nine months he resided at the Benedict Home, Buffalo, N.Y.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Paul Cathcart and David Cathcart, both of Russell; two sisters, Jean VanCise and Donna Cathcart, both of Russell; two great-nieces; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday.  A private funeral will be held there at the convenience of the family.  Rev. Brian Reid, pastor of Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Akeley.  Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Warren County or National Arbor Day Foundation, 100 Arbor Ave., Nebraska City, Neb. 68410.
