Dale Edward Lyle, 53, of Warren, passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.  Dale was born October 3, 1962, in Warren. He is the son of Beverly Brown Lyle, of Warren, and the late Raymond Eugene Lyle.

Dale was a 1980 graduate of Warren Area High School.  He had worked at Waxmans and Lewis' Market while he was in high school, and later worked at Watt Office Supply and Alpha Omega for many years.  In 1998, he opened Tri-County Office Supply, working with many local Warren offices and companies.  Dale was a member of the Fraternal order of the Elks and loved to golf any chance he could.  He was especially proud he was able to participate in the 2016 Blueberry Hill Member-Guest Tournament this August. He was also an avid Steelers and Penguins fan and hunter.

In addition to his mother, Dale is survived by his wife, Janet L. (Schmitz) Lyle, whom he married March 20, 1993, at Scandia Covenant Church; two daughters: Katie Hodak, and husband, Kris, of Pittsfield, Ally VanOrd, and husband, Jaron, of Russell; three grandchildren, Austin, Gabby and Kenzie Hodak; three siblings, Randy Lyle, of Warren, Nanette Nagy, and husband, Lannie, of Covington, TN, and Gerry Lyle, and wife, Jana, of AZ; along with several nieces, nephews and many, many friends who loved him like family.  He is also survived by his beloved boxer, Chloe.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Eugene Lyle; paternal grandparents, Ellsworth and Genevieve Lyle; maternal grandparents, Martin and Gertrude Brown; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Ruth Schmitz.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Friday, September 16, from 3 to 7 p.m.

The funeral will be held at the Inter-Faith Chapel, Hospital Drive, North Warren, on Saturday, September 17, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jon Meyer, pastor, Scandia Covenant Church, officiating.
