Colin N. Brunecz, 75, of Sugar Grove, PA, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, August 10, 2026. He was born in Bishop’s Stortford, England, UK, on October 2, 1950, to the late Jack and Barbara Brunecz.

He was a 1967 graduate of Youngsville High School and honorably served his country in the United States National Guard. Colin was a hardworking man with an unmatched work ethic and a stubborn personality to boot. Above all, he loved his family most.

He volunteered as a firefighter and proudly spent time as Fire Chief of the Sugar Grove Fire Department. He spent much of his life on the road as a truck driver, most recently working for Jim Rauh Enterprises for the past eight years. When he wasn’t driving a truck, working on the farm, or spending time with his family, he enjoyed hunting, softball, and trap shooting. He also proudly served his community for many years as the 4-H leader of the Kinzua Cowpokes Beef Club, as well as serving as President of the Sugar Grove Trap Club.

Colin is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sherri Brunecz; his beautiful daughters, Rachael (PJ) Nelson, Renae (Dexter) Davis, and Rebecca (Kyle) Luther; his precious grandchildren, Cole, Brayden, and Jameson Nelson, and Aubrey Davis; his cherished brothers, John (Wanda), Kevin (Carrie), Nick (Mary Jo), and Andrew (Rhonda) Brunecz; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren, PA 16365. A Celebration of Life for Colin will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, starting at 1pm, at the place he loved most, the family farm.
