Claude A. Parker, age 84, of Warren, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Warren Manor.  Claude was born August 16, 1929, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Freeman and Leona Dunn Parker.

A lifelong resident of Warren, Claude worked for the former General Concrete in Starbrick for over fifty years.  He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher and on the property committee board.  Claude was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan.  He truly loved spending time outside.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Sturdevant Parker, whom he married on January 31, 1953, at the First Lutheran Church; one daughter, Gayle Neidig, and husband, Nathan, of North Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Parker; three brothers, Leroy, Donald and Jim Parker; and his sister, Dolores Madigan.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren on Monday, July 28, from 5 to 8 p.m., and at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren, on Tuesday, July 29, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there, with The Rev. David Blank, pastor, officiating, and The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, assisting.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Lutheran Church.
