Clair S. Gage, 91, of Russell, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the Rouse Home. Clair was born on June 11, 1928, to the late Harold and Ruth (Eckholm) Gage. Clair was employed at Crescent Tool for 32 years. He also worked at Marti Heating and was a co-owner of Swanson-Gage Sawmill. Clair enjoyed hunting and traveled to Canada for several fishing trips. He loved motorcycles and antique tractors as well. He adored his family and will be missed by them dearly. Clair is survived by his childrenL Mitzie (partner, Kermit Dunn) Marti, Susan (James) Vitez, Laura (Rick) Golden, Thomas (Robin) Swanson, Randy Swanson, and James (Libby) Swanson; his sisterm Linda Gibson; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Clair is preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Gage; his sons; Gary Gage and Gordon Swanson; his brothers: Lloyd, Roy, and Gayle Gage; and his grandson, Andrew Gage. A private service will be held for the family on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, with Rev. Todd Venman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family has requested memorial donations be made to Wiltsie Community Church, 2981 Swede Hill Road, Russell, PA 16345 or to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave. Warren, PA 16365.
