Christos Dufopulos, 91, of Warren, PA, and formerly of Mentor, OH, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2023, at the Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA. Chris was born on February 28, 1931, in Nestorion, Greece, the son of the late Paschalis and Loukia Dufopulos Sr. He graduated from Kastoria High School and served in the Greek Army for three years. He then immigrated to the US in 1949, and proudly served in the United States Army and served in Korean War from 1950 to 1953. He was a successful entrepreneur, overseeing three restaurants in his lifetime as a businessman. He was a member of the Saint Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church and was also a member of the Nestorian Businessmen's Association. Chris is survived by his children, Lukia (Dufopulos) Douvlos of Warren, PA, Paschalis Dufopulos of Bear Lake; PA, three stepchildren, Joel Miller of Los Angeles, CA, Michelle Kodrich of Mentor, OH, and Diane Houska of Yorktown,VA; twelve grandchildren; his siblings, May Paparizos of Willoughby, OH, and Vicky Liamos of Mentor, OH; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Chris is preceded in death by his second wife Sharon-Diane Dufopulos, whom he married on December 25, 1978; and stepdaughter, Carolyn Witt-Dufopulos; sister, Angelique Mikhaloupulos of Thessaloniki, Greece. Chris made his home and life here in the U.S., making Mentor his home. Chris was a warm, kind, and reliable friend. Chris will be remembered for his love of adventurous travels, his family, really good food, and his generous hospitality. He loved calling on friends and family to catch up…simply have a cup of coffee and enjoy your company. Services for Chris will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
