Christopher James Haskins, 37, formerly of Warren, PA, passed away following a recent illness on Monday, February 22, 2016, at his residence in Modoc, IN. Christopher was born October 30, 1978, in Warren, PA. He is the son of James E. Haskins, of Scandia, PA, and Linda P. Haskins, of Enola, PA. Christopher was a 1997 graduate of Warren Area High School. Upon graduation, he honorably served four years in the US Marine Corps. Currently, he was the manager of land and maintenance at the Maxwell Farms of Indiana. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, he enjoyed all aspects of nature. Christopher loved animals, especially his dogs, and loved to spend time with his family and many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Jennifer E. Zingone, and husband, Vincent, of Enola, PA; maternal grandparents, Oliver Ross and Alice Marien, of Houtzdale, PA; step-mother, Susan Haskins, of Scandia; step-sister, Lisa Alcorn, and husband, Rich, of Warren; his close friend and companion, Kedra Buckmaster; and several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Eleanor Haskins. Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA, on Sunday, February 28, from 5 to 8 p.m., and at the First United Methodist Church—parlor B, 200 Market St., Warren, PA, on Monday, February 29, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there with Dr. Rev. Mark Hecht, lead pastor, and Rev. Jon Swart, associate pastor, co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Paws Along The River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365.
