Christina S. Gray, 71, of Russell, PA, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at her residence, after battling cancer for the past year. Christina was born October 16, 1952, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Claude and Evelyn Nelson Burroughs. She was a 1970 graduate of Eisenhower High School. Christina cleaned, painted, and wallpapered houses for others and also refinished antiques from her home. She attended Wiltsie Community Church for most of her life and enjoyed going every Sunday. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her horses and horseback riding, her dog "Muppy", carving and woodburning, camping, taking walks, bowling, going for rides, cooking for her family, and shouting "Wallahooey" when she was excited. Christina is survived by her loving husband, Gregory A. Gray, whom she married on July 20, 1970; Seven children, Jeremy Gray of Russell, Jason Gray and wife Christine of Austin, Texas, Jodi Johnson and husband Adam of Russell, Jackie Knowles and husband Brad of Russell, Kali Gray of British Columbia, Katrina Haskins of Russell, and Caysi Gray and companion Jerry Haskins of Russell; 22 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; four brothers, Harry Burroughs and wife Rose of Erie, Claude Burroughs of Jamestown, Richard Burroughs and wife Linda of Scandia, and Craig (Beba) Burroughs and wife Cathy of Hendersonville, N.C.; sister, Lucy Maclees and husband Bobby of Columbus, Ohio; and several (75) nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Christina was preceded in death by sister, Linda DeVlieger; brothers, Steve Pederson and Thomas Burroughs; and an infant sister, Rebecca. A Celebration of Life service will be held for Christina at Wiltsie Community Church, 2981 Swede Hill Rd., Russell, PA, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 10:00am with Reverend Todd Venmon, pastor, officiating.
