Obituary

Cheryl Tarr, 77, of Tionesta, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at the Rouse Home in Irvin PA, surrounded by love and care. She was born on October 6, 1948, in Green County, Pennsylvania, to the late Lloyd and Ruth (Baker) Weaver.

Throughout her life, Cheryl was a hardworking and compassionate woman who touched many lives through her kindness, humor, and strong faith. She held a variety of positions over the years, beginning her career at Warren State Hospital, later working for Blair/New Process, and proudly serving as the owner, waitress, and bartender at the Hickory Nut Inn. Cheryl also worked as a manager at Kmart in both Reno, Pennsylvania, and Florida before retiring.

During her retirement, she spent many happy years in Eustis, Florida, before returning to Pennsylvania, where she resided most recently at Tionesta Manor. Cheryl was well-loved by her friends and neighbors there and enjoyed many afternoons of bingo, good conversation, and laughter on the porch. Cheryl loved reading and was known to have read thousands of books throughout her lifetime. She also had a fondness for pigs, collecting many pig-themed trinkets and decorations that filled her home with warmth and charm. Above all, she was a woman of faith who looked forward with peace and joy to being in the arms of Jesus and reuniting with her loved ones who went before her.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that Cheryl's passing was one of peaceful beauty and contentment.

She is survived by her daughter, Karlissa Hoover of West Hickory, and son, William Hall Jr. (Jessica) of Kellettville. She is also survived by her brother, Allen (Ginny) Weaver of East Hickory; two sisters, Janice Hutchinson of East Hickory and Eleanor Weaver of West Hickory; three grandchildren, Alysha Clark of Titusville, Jessica Kennedy (Jake) of West Hickory, and Dylon Snell of West Hickory; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her late husband and father of her children, William Hall. She then shared many happy years with her husband, Pat Tarr until his passing in 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Lloyd Weaver; her brother, Timmy Weaver, in infancy; her daughter, Gina Prelog; and her son, Timothy Prelog.
