Charlette W. (Stone) Russell, 83, of Warren, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House in Warren after battling a year long illness. Charlette was born on January 31, 1940, at Warren General Hospital to the late Charles and Bessie (Larsen) Stone. She was a 1957 graduate of Warren Area High School. Charlette was employed at Tiny Town, the Warren County School District and worked for 36 years at the Blair Corporation from which she retired. She was a lifetime faithful member of First Lutheran Church and rarely missed a service. In her younger years, Charlette enjoyed ice skating, cross country and water skiing, riding motorcycles, roller skating (where she met her husband Ted), and spending time on the boat with her family. She was a talented knitter, creating much loved afghans, baby blankets, sweaters, hats, mittens, and quilt blocks for the church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband as they explored Nevada, New York City, Atlantic City, and many other destinations, especially Hawaii. Charlette enjoyed dining out with her husband and were regulars at several local restaurants. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren who she doted on. Charlette is survived by her children, Deborah Seastrum of Warren, Theodore Russell (Vicki Wimer, and her children, Jared and Desi) of Russell; three grandchildren, Danielle (Adam) Seastrum-Marano, Tamara Seastrum, and Teddy Russell; great grandson, Elijah Russell; step-grandchildren, Kenneth (Megan) Seastrum, Tracy (Mickey) Brown, and Bobbie Jo (Jamie) Paterniti; step great grandchildren, Kianna, Nathaniel, Madisen, Anthony, Brayden, Carter, and Aidan; sister, Sandra Lee of Warren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Charlette is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore L. Russell, whom she married on November 26, 1960; sister, Sharyn Stone; son-in-law, Thomas Seastrum; brother-in-law, Daniel Howe; and brother-in-law, David Lee. Friends will be received at First Lutheran Church, 109 W. 3 rd Ave., Warren, PA, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:00am, at which time a memorial service will be held with the Reverend Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, officiating.
