Catherine "Cathy" Rae Holden, 58, of Tiona, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, February 15, 2015, surrounded by her family, following a lengthy illness.  Cathy was born May 13, 1956, in Warren, PA, the daughter of Sue Rae (Moore) Holden and the late Keith L. Holden.

Cathy was a 1974 graduate of Warren High School, and later attended Nursing School to obtain her LPN.  She was employed as a nurse at the Warren State Hospital, and most recently, SCI Albion, from which she retired.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, going on camping trips and her animals, especially her pet ducks.  Above all else, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Sue Rae, she is survived by her companion, Robert Meadows; two daughters, Emily S. Lathrop, and fiancé, Danny Perrin, of Pleasantville, PA, and Allie R. Kolenda, and husband, Greg, of Wheeling, WV; four brothers, Daniel K. Holden, and companion, Misty Uber, of Barnes, PA, Dean L. Holden, and wife, Jennie, of Tiona, PA, Dana A. Holden, and wife, Connie, of Tiona, PA and Thomas Holden, and wife, Tammi, of Barnes, PA; She also has four grandchildren, Karlee, Kaylee and Kassidee Szympruch, and Teegan Perrin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Wednesday, February 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held there on Thursday, February 19, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
