Carolyn L. Lawson, 82, of Warren, PA, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023, at Warren General Hospital, Warren, PA. Carolyn was born October 6, 1941, in Warren, the daughter of the late Myron Check and Jane MacDonald Check. She was employed at New Process Blair Corporation in the mailing department for many years from which she retired. Carolyn enjoyed shopping and loved going to craft shows. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Carolyn is survived by her five children, Rick Lawson and companion JoLee of Falconer, NY, Jodi Arthur and husband Denny of Warren, PA, Julie Lawson of Knoxville, TN, Kim Connolly and husband Jeff of Java Center, NY, and Michele Lawson of Warren, PA; fourteen grandchildren, Richie (Kim) Lawson, Jennifer (Josh) Neall, Mariah Lawson and companion Brayden, Josh (Nikki) Arthur, Scott Arthur, Kristin McClement, Kyle (Meghan) McClement, Kellie McClement, Darin (Abby) Francisco, Sara Fromknecht, Jimmy Steppe, Evan Tremblay, Owen Becker, and Luke Becker; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Check and wife Maggie of Dayton, OH; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death on April 2, 2017, by her husband, Richard P. "Dick" Lawson, whom she married on November 23, 1957. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at which time a funeral service will be held with Reverend Bill Beatty, pastor, Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
