Carol Ann Means, 86, of Warren, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the Rouse Home. Carol was born on February 4, 1936, in Dubois, PA, the daughter of the late George Ashenfelter and Alta Monks Ashenfelter. Carol formerly worked for the Warren National Bank and the Warren State Hospital and was most recently the President of Means Inc. from 1983 until present. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Warren where she taught Sunday School and assisted with the TAP Program on Wednesdays. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She enjoyed giving gifts to everyone who was special to her. Carol is survived by her children, Kenneth Means and wife Frances of San Angelo, TX, Cindy Garrison and husband Bob of Warren, PA, Len Means (Deb) of Russell, PA, Robyn Means (Tim) of Warren, PA, brother Robert Ashenfelter of Dubois, PA,; eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death on January 7, 2019, by her husband, George Means Jr., whom she married on September 27, 1954, in Angola, Indiana; a daughter, Cheryl Means Nuhfer; and a sister, Georgia Bennett. Friends will be received at the at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 10 am until 11 am, at which time a funeral service will be held, with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Carol be made to Hospice of Warren County, One Main Ave. Warren, PA, 16365 or to the First Lutheran Church, 109 W.
