Carl O.  Stranburg, 77, of Grove City, OH, and formerly of Warren, PA died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, with his family present.

Carl was born December 14, 1937, the son of the late Carl J. (Jip) and Myrtle Bengston Stranburg.  He was born and raised in Tiona, PA.  He was employed by Struthers Wells until its closing, and also the Warren County Court House.

Carl was an avid fisherman, hunter, and Steelers fan. He loved his hunting camp on Six-Mile. Carl served in the US Army from 1959 - 1962. He enjoyed spending time with his buddies at the American Legion Post 135 and the Sheffield VFW.

Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy J. (Haight) Stranburg, whom he married on April 22nd, 1994; his children Carla (Andy) Tuttle, Laura (Tom) Rich, Allen (Nancy) Eckstrom, Jeffery (Sheri) Nugent, Scott (Brenda) Nugent, Lorie Campbell, and Lisa (Dennis) Kibby;  several grandchildren; and great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Carl is preceded in death by his children, Michael Eckstrom, Linda Ishman, and Jeanette Bergman; his brother, John (Jack) Stranburg, and his sisters, Anne Exley, Beverly Cupp, and Carol Almendinger..

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Pennsylvania Ave. E. Warren, on Sunday, January 18th, 2015 from 6-8 pm.  A funeral will be held there on Monday, January, 19th, 2015 at 11am with Rev. Mike Pointdexter, pastor, Pleasant Community Church, officiating.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Sheffield VFW, 1 Austin Hill Road, Sheffield, PA, 16347, or to a charity of choice.
