Brodie William Burroughs, 47, of Russell, PA passed away on November 14, 2022 at his residence after a long and difficult battle with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. He died surrounded by the love of family and friends. Brodie was born on April 25, 1975 in Erie, PA, the son of Richard and Linda Saporito Burroughs. He was a 1993 graduate of Warren High School and a 2007 graduate of the Hiram G. Andrews Center in Johnstown, PA. He was a faithful fan of the Yankees and the Steelers. Brodie especially enjoyed listening to the Grateful Dead. Prior to his illness, he liked to fish, and attend concerts and sporting events. In addition to his parents, Brodie is survived by his daughters, Sky and Lauren and their children, brother Jamie Burroughs and wife Natalie and their children of North Bangor, NY, close family members Cheryl Saporito, Sandy and Randy Britton, and Jim McDunn. Brodie is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Anthony and Ruth Saporito and paternal grandparents, Claude and Evelyn Burroughs and great aunt Elaine McDunn. Brodie's caregivers made living possible and enjoyable. A huge thank you to Cristen Peters, Chris Gray (Aunt Crick), Nancy Collins, Krista Dunkle, Liz Jones, and Audrey Zimmerman. Many other caregivers throughout the years brought love and laughter into his life. Friends will be received at Calvary Chapel of Russell, 8160 Market St. Russell PA on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am, at which time a funeral service will be held with the Reverend Jeffrey York officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Erie County, 2115 W 8th St. Erie, PA16505 or Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave., Warren, PA.
