Brian Russell Tracy, 66, of Pittsfield, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at John & Orpha Blair Hospice House surrounded by his family. Brian was born September 13, 1949, in Jamestown, NY. He was the son of the late Frederick and Mary Jane (Russell) Tracy.
From 1968 to 1972, Brian served in the US Marine Corps in aviation and communication repair, stationed in Okinawa during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he worked at Osram-Sylvania as an electrician for 37 years, retiring in 2013. Brian had many hobbies and interests; many of which included the outdoors. He also enjoyed hunting, model airplanes and especially the annual family canoe trip. He was a talented craftsman and built his own home.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Johnson, and husband, Floyd, of Dewittville, NY and Ally Cathcart, and husband, Dustin, of Warren, PA; and two sons, Shawn Tracy, and wife, Sue, of Sinclairville, NY and Andrew Tracy, and wife, Penny, of Lakewood, NY; two sisters, Beverly Holmes, and husband, Roy, of Bemus Point, NY and Beth Tracy, of Rome, GA; two brothers, Brad Tracy, and wife, Kathy, of Duncanville, TX and Bruce Tracy, and wife, Tracy, of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. He also has four grandchildren, Hayley Tracy of Ashville, NY, Hannah and Drew Tracy, of Lakewood, NY, and Taylyn Johnson, of Dewittville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Urbanik Tracy, in 2003.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at which time, a memorial service will be held there, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain, Warren General Hospital, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.
