Beth Ann Burkey, 47, Clarendon, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2002, at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Burkey was born on March 11, 1955, in Bellefonte, Pa., to David Marquis, Homosassa, Fla., and the late Patricia West Marquis.  A Warren County resident most of her life, she graduated in 1973 from Warren Area High School.  She worked at Warren General Hospital since 1986 in the dietary department and most recently in the x-ray department.

Surviving in addition to her father are three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Michele) Roberts, Burgettstown, Pa., Mrs. Chris (Donna) Palumbo, Okinawa, Japan, and Lindsey Burkey, at home; a son, Troy Hammerbeck, Pittsburgh; a sister, Barbara Zawacki, Warren; a brother, David Marquis, Silverdale, Wash.; two grandsons, Connor Roberts, and Logan Palumbo; several nieces and nephews, and her faithful companion Midnight.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church. Friends will be received in the church parlors following the service.  Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain at Warren General Hospital, will officiate.  Memorial donations may be made to the Lindsey Burkey Scholarship Fund in care of Northwest Savings Bank, Warren.  The Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
