Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend, Bessie Ora (Durnell) Gardner, peacefully passed away at home with family, Wednesday morning September 3rd, 2025. Bessie was born March 10,1931, to the late Fred and Mabel Durnell. She attended the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church and was a member of the Chandlers Valley Grange for many years. Bessie married Donald Gardner on August 17th, 1964, and raised two daughters. She loved spending time with her family more than anything as well as gardening, cooking, canning, baking, reading, and her word search puzzles. Bessie is survived by her two daughters Faith (Michael) Zobrest and Robin (Dana)Johnson. She was blessed with four Grandchildren Natasha, Dustin, Melissa and Cassandra, as well as thirteen great Grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald, two sisters Mary and Julia, her three brothers Fred, Edward and Albert, her son in law Dana and a great grand-daughter Cah'Lea. Our family was very blessed to have had her in our lives and she will be deeply missed. A small graveside service will be held for family.
