Bart Drake Vanderhoof, 59, of Russell, PA, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at his residence. Bart was born May 12, 1961 in Roseburg, Oregon, the son of the Mark and Sandra Myers Vanderhoof. He was a 1979 graduate of Umpqua High School in Oregon, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina, with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Bart served in the US Navy and worked in many locations and many power plants throughout the country. He was presently employed at the Warren State Hospital as a boiler operator. He will be long remembered as a loving husband and father, and friend. Bart is survived by his wife, Marie Mundy Vanderhoof, whom he married on November 19, 1988; a daughter, Breanna Vanderhoof, at home; a son, Drake Vanderhoof, at home; a brother Russ Vanderhoof and his wife Tammy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Leona Vanderhoof. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm. Masks must be worn, and social distancing observed.
