IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Jean
Walker
September 15, 1928 – February 4, 2017
Barbara Jean Perrigio Walker loved life for 88 years. Early childhood days were spent exploring the woods in Cable Hollow with her beloved daddy, Claude, mother, Ruth, sisters, Versal and Joyce, and her dog, Buddy.
Barb and her husband, Ralph, had two sons, Timothy Claude Walker and Thomas James Walker, both of whom were her pride, joy and greatest loves.
Daughters-in-law, Cindy and Lorraine, will forever be grateful to Barb for raising such fine men and for being a wonderful mother figure.
At her "little house on Reynolds," Barb befriended chickadees, enjoyed the sound of rippling water, picking wild strawberries and bouquets of daisies. Many hours were spent playing, swinging and sitting by a campfire with granddaughters Katie, Abby and Emily. Gram danced at Emily and Joel Goodwill's wedding and celebrated Abby and Mike Sullivan's marriage.
For nearly 25 years Barbara demonstrated an exemplary work ethic as Voter Registrar at the Warren County courthouse. She took her job very seriously as she "worked for the people".
Barb's retirement included warm winter climates, Russell summers, and making memories with her sisters while discovering "the good ole USA" and Scotland, the country of her heritage.
Barbara is reunited with her parents, Claude and Ruth Perrigo, step-mother, Florence Perrigo, husband, Ralph Walker, son, Tim Walker and sister, Versal Dendel.
Her son, Tom Walker, daughters-in-law, Lorraine Walker and Cindy Walker, grand daughters, Katie Walker, Abby Sullivan and Emily Goodwill, their husbands, Mike Sullivan and Joel Goodwill, little sister, Joyce Onink, and her family, along with the Manelick and Marek families, and several lifelong friends, will forever hold Barb in their hearts. Love you loads!
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, February 9, from 5 to 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to a service to be held there on Friday, February 10, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Russell Volunteer Fire Department, 66 Perrigo Ln, Russell, PA 16345 or Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.
