Barbara A. Stanford, 84, of Warren, and formerly of N. Warren, passed away on September 15, 2020, at her residence, following an extended illness. Barbara was born September 8, 1936, in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late John F. O'Rourke. She was employed at the Warren K-Mart since its opening as the Personnel Director, from which she retired. Barb was in charge of the bingo at the Senior Center, and worked bingo at the N. Warren VFD, where she was a member of the auxiliary. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by many. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Stanford and wife Bobbie Stanton, of Warren; a son, Norman Perkins, of S. Kingston, RI; a sister, Alice Smith, of Providence , RI; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death on December 17, 2001, by her husband, Herbert L. Stanford, whom she married in 1967; a son, Michael Perkins; a granddaughter, Kimberly Blair; and a brother, John O'Rourke. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
