Barbara Ann Jerman, 93, of Warren, passed away on August 29, 2019, at Warren Manor. Barbara was born on April 1, 1926, daughter of the late Ellis B and Margaret (Hill) Johnson. Barbara was a 1944 graduate of Warren Area High School and lived most of her life in Warren. After graduation, she began working for the US Government Veterans Affairs Office in Washington D.C., Erie and Bradford, PA. Once she raised her eight children, she attended the off-campus University of Edinboro in North Warren, PA during the 1970's. After working for a short period at the Warren National Bank, she returned to her employment with the US Federal Government at the Allegheny National Forest, Warren, PA. She retired in November 1990. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church and volunteered for the American Heart Association, Warren Cancer Society and the Allegheny National Forest Service. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, sewing, knitting, reading and listening to audio books. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family. Barbara is survived by her seven children, George E. Jerman, James H. (Julu) Jerman, Barbara A. (Richard) White, John L. Jerman, Patrick R. (Shari) Jerman, Stephen G. Jerman and Lauri J. (Scott) Wroblewski; her brother, James Johnson, of Youngsville; her sister, Carol J. Crocker, of Youngsville; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on January 19, 1995, by her loving husband, George H. Jerman, whom she married on April 23, 1949, at the Holy Redeemer Church, Warren, PA; her son, William M. Jerman, in 2008; her daughter-in-law, Susan Verbosky Jerman, in 1985; and her brother, Howard Johnson, in 2014. Friends will be received from 11 am to 1 pm on September 2, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm, with Rev. Lawrence Scofield, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating.
