Barbara A. Erickson, 77, of Russell, PA, passed away at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

She was born on July 8, 1949, in Alhambra, CA, to the late Ollie and Dolores Erickson.

She worked as a panel manufacturer for Square D before they closed. She used to crotchet hats for the Rouse Home and WGH Cancer Center. Barbara loved her cats and had many beloved ones at home. She loved to watch her soap shows in her free time. Barbara enjoyed making treats for people, but specifically she loved to make chili and took great pride in it. She was a brief Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 135 and one year she won their Annual US Army vs. Navy Game Chili Cook-Off that the club hosts. Overall, she was a very nice lady who loved her family.

Barbara is survived by her daughter KC (Mike) Prowitt; her grandchildren, Nikita (Veronica Sterling) Crowley, Codie Rugg, and Damon (Amber) Allshouse; her great-grandchildren, Bentley Rugg, Lydia Crowley, Jack and Stella Rugg, and Landon and Leyland Sterling; and her brother, Daniel Erickson, and sister, Beverly Erickson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion, John.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E, Warren, PA, 16365. Per Barbara’s wishes, there will be no public services.
