Autumn B. Check, 96, of Warren, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at her residence. Autumn, affectionately known as "Gram" to all who knew her, was born October 28, 1921, in Warren, to the late John and Charlotte (Miller) Neaglei. She was a lifelong Warren resident, and a graduate of Warren High School. She was employed by the G.C. Murphy Co. in Warren as a sales clerk off and on for over thirty years. She was a member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ. Her family and friends were her life. She was the grandchildren's biggest fan, attending and supporting all their activities and accomplishments. She enjoyed family trips to the Delaware seashore for many years. Gram also enjoyed crocheting. She will be deeply missed by and long remembered by her family and those that knew her. Always an avid sports fan, Gram enjoyed watching all sports, and especially golf on TV, always rooting for Tiger Woods. She followed NASCAR and even attended the race in Martinsville, VA, on her eightieth birthday. Gram is survived by her daughter, Karen Check Michell, of Warren; her grandson, Mike Garrett of Warren; great grandchildren, Michael, Matt, Brendan, and Alicia Garrett, all of Warren, and Skylar Wolfe, USAF; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on February 26, 1991 by her husband, Warren J. Check; and two grandsons, Mark Garrett, on May 18, 2013 and Fred Garrett, on September 17, 2018 Friend will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren., on Thursday, October 4, from 5 to 7 pm, at which time a Funeral Service will be held, with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor, First Lutheran Church, officiating. The family asks memorial donations to be made to a charity of choice.
