Andrew J. Gerbec, 73, of Clarendon, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center of Erie, PA.  Andrew was born January 16, 1943, in Kane, PA. He was the son of the late Andrew and Fanny (Ulyan) Gerbec.

He was a graduate of Warren High School and served four years in the Navy.  Andrew had been employed by the State Highway and State Hospital for many years.  Upon retirement, Andrew spent his winters in Florida, where he could enjoy golfing year round.  He also was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.

He is survived by 6 nieces and nephews, Dale Gerbec, and wife, Brenda, of Auburn, IN, Dan Gerbec, and wife, Rexa, of Russell, Don Gerbec, and wife, Faith, also of Russell; Valerie Werstler, and husband, Tom, Veronica Lukaschonis, and Vaughn Lewis, all of Emporium, PA; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and Rudolph Gerbec.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Monday, December 19, from 2 to 4 p.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Jon Meyer, pastor, Scandia Covenant Church, officiating.

Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery, Kane, PA.
