Andrew Scott Bonnell, 61, of Russell, PA, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Scott was born June 17, 1963, in Salina KS, the son of the late James E. Bonnell, and Alice Andrew Bonnell of Russell, who survives.
Scott grew up on the South Side of Warren and was a 1981 graduate of Warren Area High School and attended Jamestown Community College. He was most recently employed at Betts Industries as a CNC operator, retiring in June due to his illness. He had previously been employed at Cummin's Engine and was also a member of the Bricklayers Union. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and attended the Alliance Church with his wife. Scott was also a member of the Carroll Rod & Gun Club,
Scott was passionate about many things, especially Walleye fishing and archery hunting. He loved spending time fishing with his wife Kelly and netting fish for her, camping, and spending time with his granddaughters. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his mother, and all who knew and loved him.
Scott is survived by his wife, Kelly Depto Bonnell, whom he married on August 14, 2021; his mother, Alice; children of Kelly, Chaelynn Dombeck (James) or Russell, PA and James Highhouse (Bailey) of Sheffield, PA; granddaughters Leighton and Ainslie Dombeck; and brother-in-law Jamie Depto.
In addition to his father, Scott was preceded in death by his younger sister, Karen Bonnell in 1982.
Friends and family will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, from 6-8 pm, and at the Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Penna. Ave. E, Warren, for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11 am on Thursday, August 15, with Rev. Bill Beaty, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren, PA.
