Allen R. Edwards, 74, of Sheffield, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015, at Kane Lutheran Home following a brief stay.  Allen was born April 8, 1941, in Sheffield, PA. He was the son of the late Charles F. Edwards, Sr. and Pearl A. (Jefferson) Edwards.

Allen was a lifelong resident of the Sheffield area, and worked for Sheffield Container for 43 years.  He loved to spend time with his family and his beloved dog, Daisy.  He also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

He is survived by three children, Tammie Rogers, of Monongahela, PA, Tim Edwards, of Warren, PA, and Tara Copley, and husband, Corey; one sister, Carol Snyder, and husband, Ted, of Seminole, FL and one brother, Thomas H. Edwards, of Russell, PA.  He also has 5 grandchildren, Jake Rogers, and wife, Jennifer, of Finleyville, PA, Dusty Rogers, Ashville, NC, Marhia Edwards, Pittsburgh, PA, Callen Copley and Caden Copley, both of Sheffield, PA; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Madison Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by brothers Douglas, Richard and Garson; and sisters, Leota Edwards and Janet Branch.

A graveside service at Sheffield Cemetery will be held Saturday, September 19, at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Pflieger, chaplain of the Lutheran Home, officiating.
